THE XENOPHON PROTOPAPAS FOUNDATION

In loving memory of Xenophon, his family, business partners and friends are establishing ‘The Xenophon Protopapas Foundation’, a charitable organisation, for the advancement of the Greek Orthodox religion, education and culture in the Greek Diaspora.

The Foundation Objects

​

The Charity's objects are the promotion and/or advancement of such general charitable purposes as the Directors shall from time to time in their discretion think fit or appropriate and to be furthered through the provision of grants to individuals, families and/or organisations where appropriate including, but without limitation, to be used,  inter alia, for the purposes of:
 

  • the advancement generally of the Greek Orthodox religion, education and culture in the Greek and/or Cypriot diaspora in the United Kingdom;
     

  • the education of, and to provide assistance to, priests practising in the United Kingdom in the Greek Orthodox religion;
     

  • the upkeep, maintenance and operation of Greek Orthodox churches, cathedrals and other places of worship within the United Kingdom and any other faith organisations with connections to or associations with Greece and/or Cyprus who are in need of funding for operational purposes;

 

  • providing assistance to charitable organisations with connections to or associations with Greece and/or Cyprus

 

  • providing assistance and funding, part or in full, of vulnerable families and individuals with connections to or associations with Greece and/or Cyprus who are in need of medical investigations, diagnosis and or treatment in the United Kingdom where such investigations, diagnosis and/or treatment is otherwise unavailable to them and/or unaffordable;

 

  • providing financial assistance to persons with connections to Greece and/or Cyprus for the relief of poverty and advancement of education; and

 

  • generally for such other purposes which are for public benefit as the Directors shall from time to time in their absolute discretion think fit.

Funding

​

Funds for the foundation will be generated via donations and by its yearly " Spectacular XS Ball ' . Donations to this cause are gratefully received and can be made by clicking here:

Funds will then be distributed by way of grants to eligible applicants at the discretion of the Foundation's Board of Directors.
